Greetings. I just received my trunk flex light from DD. Of course there are no install instructions. In a small plastic bag, there are what looks like two methods of getting power to the LED strip. One looks like an old "festoon" piece that I imagine would go where the stock bulb would be, but it doesnt look like what in my 15' Mustang. The other is a small cable that on one end has a tiny connector that looks like it would go to the LED strip and the other end may fit the power connector in my mustang trunk.

Can anyone help a novice wiring guy out with this strip? Thank you

Wire in the positive and negative to the trunk light already there. Pretty simple.

Any reason you didn't just get a brighter bulb? The HP5 is plenty bright for a trunk light.

"Wire In"... Shouldn't I use one of the connectors that came with the strip? I have an HP5 in there now. I wanted brighter and better coverage?

The Flex-light comes with both a festoon and 194-sized bulb adapter. You'll need the 194-adapter (included).

It plugs directly into the factory socket, and the flex-light mounts in the trunk using the adhesive backing on the strip

Pretty straightforward installation, but if you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call: (314) 205-3033

The flex-light is extremely bright:
