after a lot of research i decided that the diode dynamics switchbacks would fit, however our sockets lack the sidelight live pin and wire.

i have just installed the Switchbacks and the indicators work fine (got resistors on order to cancel the error), but they don't switchback just yet.

I plan to modify the wiring, i have identified the plug type and found motorcraft pigtails that match, WPT-1167 and the lamp holder 9E5Z 13411 B.

im hoping to make a new harness to save from me having to cut and splice the factory loom. but the parts aren't cheap so it will some time before i do this mod. but i thought id put this information up here in case anyone else is wondering.

Any more information on how you did this and what value of the resisters used etc

I haven't done it yet, most of this is a plan. as for the resistors i have gone with 50w indicator resistors that are easily found on ebay.

as for the harness it can be made using the part numbers ive listed, it will be a case of adapting/cannibalising the old socket holder to make a wired plug.

I'm still researching this/other ways to do the same job.

its much easier if you are happy to splice into the factory loom, and just replace the lamp holder and 3 cavity plug. then you would have to link the new middle wire to the sidelight live, either spliced into the wire, or you could link it back to the relay/fuse box (once again if you dont want to splice the factory loom)

as my project progresses i will update this forum with diagrams and picture, but it will have to wait for payday and better weather.

any other questions feel free to ask
