It does make me laugh how people blame 'facebook' or whatever for misinformation. As if to say "well, what do you expect. if you go on facebook"

If you go out on the street right now and talk to 100 people you will find the a percentage of them are idiots and dick heads. The same is the same with Facebook. Its not 'Facebook' that gives the misinformation but the people that post.

I am on Facebook now, mainly to keep up to date with family and friends and yep, some Mustang sites. I find the Mustang groups to be almost as useful as this forum and very few dickheads.

I suggest those of you that think facebook is the biggest threat to a sane world either, have not been on it or have followed 'friended' the wrong people.

Just saying.

Great example of facebook working was the Northampton meet. By posting on here I would have got about 20 cars attend. By Manders posting on facebook? 80 plus. And no dickheads!

As for depreciation, yeh. Like other have said, just look at what people are selling them for. DONT believe everything you read on FACEBOOK!

Of course it's Facebook's fault, anyone that is critical of the Mustang or facilitates negative opinions must be admonished. That is the Mustang fanboy way.

Sorry, don't know what came over me there!

The only dickheads came from here and are in a whatsapp group called 'Mustang Banter' .

Blame idiots, not a device for idiots to publish their idiocy to the masses.

Agreed that it's not 'Facebook' (as an entity) that gives the misinformation but the people that post... but Facebook IS the people that post, as without them it surely wouldn't exist!!!

And yes... if you go out onto the street and talk to 100 people a percentage of them will indeed be dickheads... but Facebook allows them to be dickheads to a World audience, rather than only to those known or local to them!!!

But each to their own, as the saying goes... just not for me!

Anyyyyyway... running way off-topic (again)... don't care about depreciation of my Mustang as not intending to sell it. Having a mid-life crisis and bloody loving it (was best excuse I could muster up to buy a completely impractical gas guzzling car).

Think I might request to be buried in it (if it hasn't rusted away through lack of underseal by then) :D !!!

It's a hard one to predict so the money lenders are airing on the side of caution and applying a standard percentage.
However my two pence worth :

Supply is limited
It's cheap new
No other direct competitors at this price point.

This means the used demand at high teens low 20's could be considerably greater than the new demand at high 30's as it falls with reach of more people and more people come to recognise them. I suspect it will fetch more than 13k after 4 yrs.
