DEI Titanium wrapping Ecoboost downpipe on car

For anyone that installed a downpipe and wished they had wrapped it, well it is possible to do it on the car. I have an MRT catted DP and I was able to wrap from flange to cat while it was on the car. It was a PITA and involved dropping the roll a few times but it worked, started under the hood and had to jack the car up finish from underneath, still easier than pulling it off to do.

DEI Titanium 2" x 15 foot roll and four 3.5" hose clamps.

That wrap is very good. I always used it on my EVOs and STIs.

It was very easy to work with compared to the old school Fiberglas junk of years ago....

Quick questions. What is the benefit of wrapping your downpipe?

Is it a way to insulate it to keep it from making other components hot or something?

Yes, it insulates the downpipe from radiating heat.

I'm a ceramic coating fan over wrap
We have a sister company CPC (Custom Performance Coatings), right next door to CPE in MD
They coat any product, not just CPE

Looks very nice....And ceramics do work. I plan to have my custom BT down pipe Jet Hotted just like my manifold adaptor [emoji106]
