I find this interesting. I wonder if the time frame seems so long since you are in Canada? I have heard a lot of people say that once they placed the order the car had actually been built within 3 weeks. I heard the same thing about the plant closing down but I didn't think it would cause that much of a delay. Shouldn't they take care of customer specific orders first?I made the order on Dec 19th 2015. But, the dealer told me the factory was off for 2 weeks or so during and after that time. So I'm told it will begin its build this month and usually takes 12-14 weeks.
I wanted exactly the following:
v6 Auto (have people at home who cant drive stick)
DIB color
051a package
reverse sensing
3.55 gears
spare tire kit
I couldn't find that anywhere in Canada so I just ordered one.
The dealer gave me a good deal and ate the interest on the order so I agreed. Paid $1000 deposit and now everyday is a long wait :(
I think for Canadian order 3 months in pretty standard for the time it takes. Been hearing that for a awhile and others on the forums also have waited about the same time. If it's done sooner than that's great! I just want it to come quick at this point.I find this interesting. I wonder if the time frame seems so long since you are in Canada?
