FWIW, it would not look the same. The panels aren't painted at all but are piano black plastic which has no orange peel like any paint will and hence is noticeably more glossy. I'm not saying that's bad, just different for anyone who cares about that.

Even if you flat and polish the Finnish may
Not be as black, But as an option you could
Fill and send to someone like Garnish Dip
For hydro dipping in say Carbon etc.

If you buy a plain decklid, they often have a dimple in the middle (5p bit sized) so don't bank on completely flat.

The locating pins on the GT badge are right at the edge so anything smaller will show them.
