How about the car chase scenes where you know damned well it's an automatic but they dub the sound of shifting gears like they're driving an old Mack tri axle.

Supernatural is famous for this with their old automatic Impala they drive around. That and the dry door hinge. :doh: I so bad want to send a case of PB Blaster to the prop guys, but I'm sure it's the audio guys putting that in there.

Don't you just love the sound dubbing. How about movies where they have a blacked out dirt birk doing wheelies everywhere with the sound of a v twin.

they always do it in boat movies too, it will be a boat with some outboards on it, and they dub in the sound of big v8's

Haha! If anyone has watched the season 10 last episode of X-files you might have noticed the mustang. It was an ingot silver base EB that sounded like a catless 5.0.... :headbonk:

How about the boat chases in the movie " Striking Distance". That was filmed in Pittsburgh. Bruce Willis' characters boat had two outboards but sounded like it had an F16 engine in it.
