hi guys, I've posted the same thing on US and aussie threads. i've sat in the RHD GT MT and although the cup holders aren't in the way of shifting if you want to rest your arm you must rest it on these two holes. most older model mustangs have a " cup holder delete" device , available through CJPONY, lethal performance, AM, etc. .... but none are available for the 2015-16 MY. I've emailed them but no answer back yet. apparently there is a key fob slot in case the battery goes low that you can plug it into, in the bottom of the cup holder, to start you car. these removable "cup holder delete" devices wouldn't bother that as they are removable and are really cool looking, metal with differing badging, etc.. there are available for our cars ,coin holders ,but I'm not sure how comfy they'll be. another issue is the ambient lighting in the cup holders. maybe a plexiglass cover. any inventors out there? you'd probably sell thousands !

If I get really annoyed with it, then I'll probably just go for a pair of the coin holder things. I reckon they will sit fairly flush.

My Nissan has got a single cup holder on the 'wrong side, It doesn't cause any inconvenience other than it's useless for what it's designed for in the RHD market! Stranger still that it's Japanese, who have a RHD domestic market.

I did think about a solution for this (came up with something too) but looking at the console, the cup holders occupy the same space that the handbrake cutout does on the other side, so if the handbrake is not an issue for LHD owners then I don't see why the cupholders would be an issue for us?

Not sat in a RHD yet so I may find I end up resurrecting my idea.

I sat in an RHD on Saturday in Edinburgh and cant say the cup holders bothered me one bit. Your arm just sort of goes over them, I certainly didn't find it uncomfortable.
It was an automatic but I could imagine it being a manual and having a starbucks in there without too much of issue as well as the cup holders are quite deep.
Aren't we all so lucky to have 1st world problems like this.:)
