The only problem is I believe it's too late to deliver before 22nd and so everything shuts down between 22nd to 4th and then off to Dagenham then off to dealer.. So could be mid Jan from what I've been told...

Well, it doesn't take longer than a day to drive it up. If you specify that you >need< the car by the 22nd, they should be able to, logistics wise from Southampton to anywhere in the UK takes no longer than 15 hours. Dealerships are open saturday/sunday so can take delivery, the 'freshen up and paper work' can't take longer than a couple of days. I see a tight opportunity of pushing for the 22nd, if that's what you'd like!

Not a hope in hell. if that was the case we would all have our cars by now

ford tries to get all vehicles to dealer within 5 days from when it shows on the system, ( that includes the ferry journey)

15 hours, HGv can only drive 9/10 hours a day at very max.
alot of dealers dont take cars in at weekends. they dont have the staff.

Told by dealer two weeks ago would be with them around 23rd Jan.

I've just been updated by Karen, that mine is booked on Friday's boat to Southampton, they are keen to deliver all Mustangs by the 22nd December before they close for Christmas :clap2:

So Karen says on her email reply to me, I'm guessing it means all Mustangs currently sitting at Southampton perhaps, but wouldn't be 100% on this :cheers:

All deliveries cease on Tuesday 22nd and start again on Monday 4th Jan, I know they are keen to clear as many Mustangs as possible but I this boat load maybe stretching it to make Tuesday due to the volume arriving."

Well , so far so good ; the Autostar arrived at Southampton at 11.02 today ...
Not sure of the process from here , but my dealers is expecting a delivery on Monday and Tuesday ....

Fingers crossed ...could still be a pick up on Christmas Eve morning .....

I hope some of you in the same boat (sic) get lucky for Christmas.
