Hi. By chance did you look at your steering wheel Clock Spring and Wires and make sure it wasn't damaged?

I did not but I was really careful about installing it

My philosophy is, if a separate and unrelated issue starts just after I worked in that area, it is almost 100% certanty I inadvertantly created this issue. Good luck with your problem.

What kind if damage would I be looking for on the clockspring? Could it have be damaged by over torqueing the steering wheel bolt?
