Hi guys
As a feb 2016 build mustang Owner I just missed out on the sync 3 install. Obviously this is the one thing that has really disappointed me (yes I'm a techno buff) and have been mulling over the sync 3 upgrade but could not justify the $2000
Last month I bit the bullet and bought the sync 2 upgrade from sintegrate (I actually bought 2) and despite some early install issues (mainly mine) I've got the unit working
The integration is fantastic as it's just an additional menu in sync 2 and provides the following add ons
HDMI - I have mine working with an iPhone
Sd card
USB
Additional camera
Option for Igo gps but not sure why you would use as you have the one still functional plus your mobile phone maps displayed by on the head unit as well
Limitation - Foxtel go won't display hahahahaha
The verdict - while it isn't 100 percent bullet proof (one or two glitches early on but seems to have stabilised ) I love it . Ability to have video or if you add an odbii wifi module like I have then you can have a heap of cool gauges displayed on your head unit . And as a $5-600 upgrade it's a bargain
I'll try get some images up soon as it's a bit hard when I plug my iPhone in to take photos at the same time
