Ugly John,I got my Airaid installed yesterday - what a piece of cake!
Driving in this morning, I couldn't really tell what it's going to do IAT-wise, that should be more apparent this afternoon when it gets hot and I hit some traffic. It seemed like it was cooling a bit better, but hard to tell.
I didn't notice much of a boost in performance.
What I did notice is that my damned drone is back. Seriously - I am so tired of screwing around with this. I'm about ready to get the stock mufflers put back in.
Long time since elevated drone blood pressure for us both.

Last I heard you went back to stock exhaust (me too, but with my 4" MF tips to 'slightly' amplify the stock tone). What is your take on your CAi over this time? Only reason I'm asking is I have fallen prey to the idea of a Black Mamba hood that has a ram air w/ outlet right over the air box. I don't really think for my driving style extra air will increase power noticeably, but the "idea" of functional ram air feels cool to me.
How would you describe the difference in sound of your CAI vs. stock air box (w/ stock exhaust). Do you feel you got a sound you liked? Of course it can not compare to the cool exhaust sound we both tried for and gave up on (do to drone), does it add to your driving experience?
