Coil pack pigtail clip removal

Tried changing my plugs this weekend as I'm well over due at 55k miles...quickly hit a wall when trying to undo the electrical connectors from the coil packs. Is there some sort of trick to these? Moved the red tab back but they're not breaking free.

Anyone had a hard time and have any pointers on removal?

The red tab is a lock device not the actual release. Push the red tab upwards, then push in the black clip. It can also help to temporarily push down on the connector while pushing in the black clip before pulling up. Take the tension off the black retainer before releasing that way.
