Hey everybody! This past Saturday, I was blessed enough to become the owner of a used 2018 EcoBoost Premium, which happens to be a manual. I'm new to driving a stick, so of course I've been stalling it every now and then. Today on my way to work, I stalled out at a red light. After starting the car back up, the check engine light was on as well as the wrench icon. The car was definitely in limp mode, so I pulled over and turned the car off. When I started it back up, the wrench icon was gone but the check engine light remained on. The car drove absolutely fine after this though. After work when I started the car, the check engine light was off. The car runs perfectly fine now, but I was just wondering if anybody has had this experience. I'm assuming that I just confused the computer when I stalled it and maybe it thought there was a misfire or something. At least that's what I'm hoping. Thanks guys!

Best thing to do is have the codes pulled. Even if the wrench and check engine lights no longer show, the codes are stored in the ECU. This way you can be sure the issue requires attention or maybe it was just a one time fluke. Good luck
