Leather and hog ring pliers are in!!! Going to try installing the front passenger wednesday. That will be my gauge of difficulty.

Cardinal red looks awesome in person, I'll get some quality photos when it's all installed.

$1,000 even
That's not a bad price! So I'm saving roughly $350 with this kit and DIY install. I'm happy with that, hopefully I can make up most of that cash by selling the OEM leather.

If it is $1k for the leather and install it is a hell of a deal. Debating on this or factory leather take off covers.

You're saying $1k for the leather and the install or just the install?
Leather and Install. I went to the Installer and they had me pick a color from probably about 100 swatches. Then I picked which parts I wanted perforated and if I wanted contrast stitching or not. They didn't actually tell me they were going to do the door panels so that was a nice surprise. They said the kit came with door panels so they put them on. I thought the deal was so good I had my wife's brand new Fusion done in all black that same day with heated seats for $1,300.

Well this is very tedious work, spent about 4 hours on the passenger seat. Installed it and called it a night.

FYI none of the holes are cut out from Katzkin, you need to add holes for the head rest posts, coat hanger behind head rest, and the lever behind the seat to lean it forward. Spent quite a bit of time cutting a centimeter at a time. Passenger seat looks awesome, going to get working on the driver tomorrow after work

Did you also transfer the magnet on the side of the seat? I finished a whole seat and forgot about it and had to take the top of the seat back down to replace it.

Yah I did remember to transfer it. What I did forget was to feed the strap thru the hole. I had just put the hog rings on when I realized it. Luckily I was able to wiggle my big hands in there and push it thru.

I'll be going by a upholstery shop next week to get quotes on doing the door panels. I would like for them to add the vertical stitching like OEM, price will dictate is I get it done.
