When it comes to insurance most of the big companies are about on par. Whether it's Geico, allstate, State Farm.... The most important part is to understand and go over your coverages and policy with a fine tooth comb. Speaking from experience Geico will always pay out when the coverage exists and in my experience they have always had the lowest premiums. BTW I work for Geico so if you have any questions just message me and I'll help you out if I can.

The most important factors in determining your premiums are age, driving history (time driving and amount of tickets/accidents), and location (someone living in a big city will always pay more than someone living in a rural area).

I'm going to do some shopping around. I don't live in a big city, I'm in Spring Hill which is definitely more of a rural area. I'll check out Geico again.

My deductable I had set to 500 because if something ever did happen, which I have lost an engine before due to a bad storm in my first Veloster, it's much easier for me to put down 500 then wait to get the thousand before I can get my car fixed. But when I do my shopping around I'll see how much of a difference it makes and go from there.

Deductibles make very little difference in price. Maybe 5 to 15 bucks a month...

WAY more than that for me. WAYY more... my house alone it was $400 a year difference with higher ded. Cars about $300 a year difference for each car with higher deductible. This is why I run higher deductible. the again noone can even come close to how cheap state farm is for me here either. everyone else is way higher.

$100 a month on the nose from Geico. 33 no tickets or accidents in the last 12+ years.

Deductible amount makes a big difference in yearly cost. Say your yearly goes down $150-250 to have a $1000 vs. $500 deductible. Let's use $200 for an average. If you go only 2.5 years without using the insurance you saved the extra $500; just set it aside for a rainy day (with the $500 initial you would have had to anyway for the $500 deductible) and enjoy $200 cheaper yearly insurance from there out.

$84/mo w/ $100 deductible. Changing the deductible didn't really change my monthly premium that much, so I left it where it was on my other car.

This is w/ State Farm. 32yo w/ 1 other car and a pretty spotless record these days.
