I took the car to the UK on a roadtrip, with plans to visit some Mustang shows and also an appointment with a Mustang Specialist shop to fit some Roush KW Coilovers, USDM heat extractors, BMR lockout cradles and a few other things!
However, on Friday night - it broke!
Went to shift from 1-2 and found myself completely locked out of the box. This happened without warning, so its clearly a catastrophic/immediate failure of a component, that has lead to the clutch being permanently engaged.
I can get gears when the motor is off, but once started its no dice.
Car has been take to the local dealer, and there it sits abandoned waiting diagnosis. All my plans this week with the car are ruined.
Ive been told to expect a repair time between 2 weeks to 2 months!!! LOLOLOL
So im travelling back to my home country this week without the car. Total nightmare.
I hope Ford treat me right.
ps. In the last week it also went on a Mustang dyno. A heart-breaker!!
To finish off the story above, Ford totally screwed me, so the repairs were at my own cost. Not happy, but id lose the will to live trying to fight it. Ford have a LOT to learn when it comes to customer service.
Any hoo.
Life has been busy lately which has meant modding has taken a bit of a back seat.
The car is now on Nokian winter rubber, and today a little mod of a USDM decklid, to replace the std. EU spec 'faux gas filler' item.
