Can anyone explain this to me?

I'm based in the UK and drive a RHD S550 Mustang.

I recently purchased a Airraid intake tube but it seems to have an extra connector compared to the stock airbox on my Mustang, see picture below.

I've ordered some rubber grommets to blank off the extra connector, but curious as to why we don't have the same connections as LHD Mustangs, seems odd. Any ideas?

Ah, OK that makes sense. Presumably they should have included a blanking grommet with the kit? There wasn't one included.
