Really? You’ll find plenty of posts that state otherwise, with dyno results. Aftermarket intakes usually have larger MAF sensors. That along with a tune to take advantage of the increased airflow will give some good gains. The PP2 is proof, although that has a throttle body also.

I only gained 5hp from Steeda's tune required CAI. And that was from like 6000-6500. literally 0 anywhere else, back to back, same tune (adjusted MAF for Steeda intake). Ford Powerpack #'s are much the same on the dyno. This is Power Pack 1's tune and K&N Filter compared to powerpack 2's tune + GT350 CAI + GT350 Throttle Body assembly. It's up to you if you think on average 5 hp/tq is worth the $350ish that most aftermarket CAI's cost. The dynos the companies selling the CAI's post are meant to sell their products, so take them with a heap of salt.
