My car is at dealer right now for recall and oïl change and they noticed that one of the strips of a tail light is burned out. They don't have the part in stock so they need to order it. I don't know if they need to replace the complete light assembly or just a bulb/led strip...

I'll let you know how it turns out.

So take home message is "Go check your rear lights!" as we don't see them! I had no clue it was deffective!

Thanks for the tip of the day.

Keep me in the loop as to how Chartrand does with the recall. Mostly concerned with how they remove-reinstall the splitter.

I'll check splitter before I take the car home to make sure it's solid. I'll remove bumper anyways soon to install APR splitter so I will check the reinstall!

did you take your GT350 out yet?

No, it still sits on 4 jackstands waiting for my back to get better. :(

Should be good to go in a couple weeks hopefully. Most guys i hang with will have their cars out only in May, still lots of crap out on the streets.

I could not resist even if the roads are not great! I should have stored my car away from my garage to make sure!! I'll take her to the carwash to remove grime every day if I have to!!

Just came back from dealer to pick car up after oil line recall... it turns out the rear light he was referring to was no the TAIL light but the PARKING light in the side of the bumper. it was a diode dynamics aftermarket light that was defective and I have the replacement (warranty replacement) on the shelf to install once I have time.

Sorry for the false alert on the tail light failure!:headbonk::headbonk:

I had a coworker that was behind me call me once to tell me one of mine was going in and out, think it was on the left side. Had my fiance drive around behind me for a couple blocks the next day and she said she didn't see anything, so /shrug

Sorry forgot to mention. Everything went well the removed splitter as per instructions. Everything is looking fine and seems solidly reinstalled. I will inspect it more once I get bumper out.

I left the car all day... my bill is in the car but I'll check time tomorrow. They told me they followed instructions so I cant say how they remove splitter.
