Bullitt Tune by Steeda….questions

Dumb question time: does the tuning hardware (eg- SCT tuner) have to stay permanently connected to the vehicle? Or is it just to load the program initially?

Just installed the 93 Octane Custom Bullitt Steeda Tune on my car via the SCT X4 Tuner, which was seamless, easy to do and no issues. I am noticing more low-end torque, especially in gears 1-3 and big difference in throttle response. The active exhaust sounds and rev matching continue to work the same (Steeda H Pipe installed a while back) so far I couldn't be happier. Kudos to TJ and Matt for helping me through the process.

That's great! I would not do it because I can only get 91 Octane so its useless where I live.

Tunes can be written for different octane levels - the 93 tune is going to give you the most benefits but Matt/James have the ability to write for 91.

Not to my knowledge - we still only write for SCT devices.

They ship the SCT X4 tuner to you. Once it arrives you retrieve the Tuner info, fill out tune sheet on Steeda website and they send the tune via email (took 5 working days). Transfer the tune to the device, plug in the device to your car and install. It was pretty simple..................

Any engine or other issues with the tune? I am concerned that the slight differences between USA. and Australian versions might cause a problem.
