Mine arrived at the dealership this afternoon, quite unexpectedly. Tonight she's resting peacefully in my garage. Best of luck to all the other folks in Texas. I don't know how I got so lucky. But trust me it was worth the wait!
Congrats on the deliver 5.0Phil. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I
am enjoying mine. Everytime I look in the garage I just get a big smile.
Same one I have when I am driving it.

I'm still waiting in the ATX.

QA COTUS last night, and now COTUS today finally show my car IN TRANSIT, with 11 days to go, but now my EDD is 2/20.

I texted my salesman this morning to try to find the railcar number now (if COTUS isn't lying).

Well guys, looks like I have some bad news. This is a very long story that I will try to summarize so it doesn't take too much time. I went to the dealership yesterday to pick up my Mustang. First I examined it and everything looks great. Next up is just signing my X-plan documents. After that, its time to go to finance. I am paying cash so I figure this should be easy. I was wrong. After an hour or so of trying to get them to follow through on their word, I had to walk out and leave my Mustang there. Bottom line, they wanted me to pay $2400 more than we agreed to. There is plenty more to this story, and I am not trying to bash the dealership, I just needed to vent. I hope you guys enjoy your Mustangs. I will have to live vicariously for now.

Did they change their mind on the X-plan price?

No. Like I said, it is a long story but basically, I am active military and want to register it in Florida since I am a resident there. I gave them the Florida military registration paperwork BEFORE I ordered the Mustang and they said no problem. 10 weeks later, they are now saying they cannot do the registration in Florida and will have to charge me Texas sales tax. I will say that I reminded them of this multiple times before and throughout the build. The bad part was I had to drive over 2 hours to get there, have a friend drop me off, then to find out this happened. Fortunately, my friend had not left the DFW area so he was able to pick me up. I have many theories on why they did this, but they are just guesses as I figure I will never know the true reason. Just sucks to try and buy a Ford if you are in the military.

Yeah, that sucks! Are you able to buy from AAFES? I bought a Ford Explorer in Germany through AAFES in 2003.

No. I'm stateside now. I have purchased through AAFES and it went very well. After waiting for 2 1/2 months to get nothing out of it, I may just skip the Mustang GT and wait for a GT 350.

Wow.. that sucks LindsayEOD. I bought mine in GA and am registering it in
SC. Dealer here said as long as I have a valid address and drivers license
that it would be no problem. When I was active duty I registered cars in GA
with my old Idaho DL and Military ID card. The dealer said they could care
less as it was up to me. Just sounds strange.

Yeah, it does sound strange especially since I have registered cars in Florida living in other states, including Texas. I'm trying to get over it but I am still a little pissed. One thing I would like to say, my salesman was actually really good and I feel as bad for him as I do myself. I personally saw him tell the manager what I wanted to do and get told it was no problem.

Can they transfer it to a FLA dealer and go that way?
