Build Week 1/19/2015

Emailed my dealer and says my car is planning to be shipped tomorrow. I wonder why it was held for so long at Michigan. Does this mean I need to wait another 2 weeks until the car is delivered? EDD still says 2/5/15 but I don't think that is quite possible.

WOW that sucks, might have been for QC (which means you might have some miles on it to start :( ). I assume it would take a little bit of time to get to Cali, but you never know. Pretty much a crapshoot as this point, our cars are going to trickle in randomly haha.

What exactly do they do when they hold it for QC? I hope you get yours on time!!

I guess they randomly sample the cars off the line to make sure they are meeting Ford's "quality" standards.

From what I have been seeing, I am expecting most of the 1/19 week cars to come in this next week coming up, there are 1/26 cars being delivered already so we can't be far off.

Me too! I couldn't imagine waiting past this date, another week would make me go crazy. I hope you get your car as soon as possible with no issues as well! If it is by rail, it might only take a week anyways hopefully.

I'm in Northern California, my car was built on the 20th, Cotus still says "awaiting shipment". I wonder if all cars being shipped to CA. were held up?

I agree, but to be fair, I live maybe 3 hours from flat rock assembly plant, so the time it takes for my car to travel here is immensely shorter than travel to Florida or California.

Hmm although that sucks it makes me feel better I'm not alone... Well the dealer told me it should ship tomorrow so we'll see what happens

My car moved to in transit on 22 Jan but didn't actually leave MI until yesterday. It didn't get far but it's moving so I'm happy. EDD moved from 2/6 TO 2/9 but I'm hoping it doesn't take 10+ days to travel 450 miles.

So, after seeing Cotus I went straight to the bank, and then called the dealer, the rest is history lol. Had 19.3 miles on it with about 2 hours of run time, but it is in great shape, no scratches, broken pieces, weird noises, the panel gaps are very good as well. Looks like we will have a good batch of cars.

Sweet congrats man, if you received yours today and we are both in Florida I should be getting mine any day... Both of our cars were built same day.

Thank you! Yeah it should be anytime now, I really wasn't expecting it to come in today. My EDD had moved back to 2-5-14 as well before it changed to delivered so it is pretty random. You should be a lock for the next couple of days. It is worth the wait though, you will love it!
