Yeah I’ve thought about it but I have read where people who do the resonator delete have problems with the wire to the active flaps getting messed up down the road.

Also I plan on doing headers in the future and when I do I want my oem resonator in place to bring the sound back down.

For what it's worth, some folks have simply cut an additional amount (1/4" I think? Don't quote me on the length) off the remaining pipes so that the wires are further away from the pinch weld in the back.
