Bought mbrp race black

I recently purchased the mbrp catback race black edition from beefcake and I'll just say any regrets I did have about not buying a gt for the sound is straight out the door. Install was a little pain because for some reason the tail pipe on the left side drops a little more than right side. But it sounds amazing, I can actually hear and feel the car now! I'll have sound sound clips in the next day or 2 after finals.

My 2nd buy will be a downpipe but I don't really know which downpipe will compliment the deep tone, any suggestions?

the same problems for me, the tips dont fit perfectly, one side is higher than the other and they touch the bumper. Got it 3 days ago, the sound is better right now

The MBRP exhaust has fitment issues on all Mustangs causing the tips to not sit perfectly. I've had only a few people even notice it but on the other hand, I know it's not perfect and it sucks. Mine has been on a few months now and I first I was having second thoughts because of the popping and backfiring when banging through the gears but now I love it. I got the street version and its the perfect sound for me, subtle and barely noticeable when driving civil but loud and makes a statement when driving rowdy. Doesn't sound anything like a GT and that's just fine with me but she definitely sounds a lot better over stock. I'm looking at the Stainless Works catted dp unless MBRP puts out a dp.

Great to hear about your exhaust choice. I apologize for changing the subject a little, but has anyone ended up fixing the placement issue of the low hanging side MBRP? Want to know the strategy before looking under the car. Clamps?

I purchased mine from MBRP just last week during their sale, picked it up for great price. Now just waiting for it to arrive to throw it on. As to the fitting issue, anyway to adjust the hanger, like bend it a smudge so that it is tighter against or away from the bumper? Guess I'll find out about the issue once i get mine in.

NOpe they are not.. street is more subtle than race...race is deeper and louder..

but street is good choice if u are going for DP... other wise race will be obnoxious...

If you will give the hangers a little attention you will fix the alignment issues. The wire hangers are bent pretty easy.
