Boost leak mystery

Ok so help me somebody. Smoke test it and nothing. Guy took it for a spin and told me it only leaks at about 70% throttle or over. Otherwise it builds boost beautifully until you go past that point, then you can actually hear the leak very loudly. Which makes him think its the wastegate or the bov (the wastegate???) How can i test my bov??

Solved. Check your vacuum lines too!!! Back to a happy 24 psi!!

I was under the impression that this thing maxes out around 22lbs on stock tune.. I see 21.4 on a launch and 18-20ish under hard acceleration.

Anyone care to weigh in on this? I'm completely stock with 1100 miles after 6 months and saw 21psi last weekend.

The ECU works on torque targets. It can adjust boost levels to hit those targets. Basically, there is not a set boost level for the engine, but there is an upper limit.
