Keep in mind majority of dynos don't have the frontal air flow like a $10M OE dyno room so the engines heat sink fast, timing is pulled, and airbox flow is weak.

I always giggle watching amateur dyno runs with some cheap fans blowing ambient room air onto the car, in an enclosed space where is doesn't even flow properly.
