No, this is how i got it from another member on this forum. Although i never installed it, it doesn't appear to be cut off anywhere. It just looks like the mat is for a car with subwoofer

Understood, yeah my buddy has one and that piece on the right of it is able to pull off for cars with sub woofers. It looks like the previous owner instead of pulling that piece off (temporarily) decided to cut it instead. My car doesn't have a sub so I would want that piece.

I intuitively thought it would improve bass clarity but that would makes sense too.
