Bizarre Whining Noise After Car Is Shut Off

Something I have never seen or heard before. My 2019 GT had been shut off and locked for well over an HOUR. I stepped outside and heard a whine coming from the engine compartment. Popped the hood and it was somewhere on the passenger side.



Sorry for the weird video link. I don’t have a YouTube account. But has anyone else experienced this? Where could the sound be coming from? Almost seemed electrical in nature, and when I turned my car on, the noise was gone. Haven’t heard it again.

I have heard this a couple of times on my 2018 GT as well and have no idea what is causing this sound. I have 36K miles on my car with no issues so I am assuming its not a cause for concern. However, if this is something that wont go away, take it in to the dealer and have them diagnose this, who knows it could either be nothing or something needs to be fixed. Good luck!
