S3, yep. Got a great deal on a 2016 in Sepang Blue w/ Black Optics, Tech Pkg, and B&O sound system with the 2017s already in transit. Wasn't anywhere near the $50k MSRP. :)
Very nice. Did you lease? If so mind PM'ing me what kind of deal you got? My uncle is contemplating trading his 14 GT CS vert in for one, if the local ford dealership ever buys his airbag recall pending car from him.

Dodge needs to outfit the Charger 6.4L with Tremec manual transmission. That would be the ultimate family car.

Remove passenger seat for easy rear seat access, problem solved...

Had a friend transport a kid in an Acura RSX with a baby seat for over 6 years - it was a hassle but he didn't sell out to the boring family vehicles...

If you think I was being serious on the first aspect, you have no sense of humor.

Audi S models - have fun with the vehicle maintenance/nightmares of those.

lol....you never no on some of these posts.....

One of the reasons I did it was for the CPO to 100k. Having owned an Audi before....I am well aware of the money pit it will become out of warranty.

Ok good, that's the only correct way to own a luxury German car - within warranty or an extended warranty. Jalopnik just wrote on the nightmares that BMW engines are - quite an entertaining/humorous article too

I almost bought a used M3 before my GT, but was advices against used BMW's without warranty. I think I made the right call.

That's why you lease when you go German.

I have all maintenance and repairs outside of normal wear covered for the life of my lease. All I'm really responsible for will be tires if they don't make it the 36k.

After 40k miles when the big maintenance items hit, it will be somebody else's problem.

Also, the S3 will launch to 60 in 4.4 seconds, so didn't really give anything up there. I'll admit it won't sound as good while doing it though.

I agree. Putting my 3 yr in the back requires some weird angles and when the parking spot isnt big enough the big ass door wont open all the way. Luckily my wife does most of the picking up/dropping off.

Should've just traded for a GT convertible, it's super easy to put stuff in the rear seats with the top down :D

Tavarish is bad at BMW ownership and in general I wouldn't trust a thing he says (although, BMW does make unreliable cars). But I agree on german money pits, except Mercedes has a few reasonably reliable engines like the 55 of past.

I still find it hard to believe people will buy a 2016 car and then turn it around so fast though! I'd be hauling junior in a minivan on the side or in some other alternative before I'd dump a new GT.
