Here is a topic that should get everyone excited. What are the best off the shelf products for basic washing/waxing maybe glazing/waxing that are available from Wal-Mart. Everyone has a Wal-Mart nearby. Sometimes the wait and price from the e-tailers is too long or too much.

Keep in mind the basic wash techniques from guys like Ammo NYC and The Chemical Guys. Like dual bucket high foam wash and wax/hydration spray to do one swipe hand drying and minimizing love swirls. I live with very hard water so a wipe down is mandatory to prevent hard water spots.

Any suggestions?

Here is the video link on AMMO NYC and his theory about drying with regular methods can do just as much paint damage as improper washing.

Definitely buy microfibers online. I haven't found anything in store that makes sense to buy. Ive used Meguiars Ultimate Wash and Wax with good results and Mothers All Wheel and Tire cleaner is some good stuff. Most Mothers and Meguiars products will meet the need of most Hobbyists. Their professional line stuff is just a lot more effective and a lot of time cheaper if you buy in bulk.

Wash - Meguiars Gold class / Meguiars ultimate
Quick detailer - Meguiars Ultimate
Wax - Meguiars Ultimate paste/liquid (Also the gold class wax isn't bad too bad)

Like stated above, Id get your micro fibers online, especially a waffle weave drying towel (If you don't have access to a leaf blower)

Meguairs stuff is all fine and you can find it most places- Walmart, Autozone etc. But it's also the consumer grade stuff.

You can find Meguiars pro grade stuff even n Amazon which gives you free shippng over $35. They're usually the cheapest for Meguiars I've found without waiting for online deals or haggling.

Personally I would get the good stuff for a $35-40k car. If you buy in the right sizes it can save you money over the long run. Ie. I got a gallon of Meguiars pro grade quick detail spray (I believe they call it Final Detailer or something like that) for $22 on Amazon; 128 oz. And you can dilute it with 1/2 water too since it's concentrate. Good luck getting 16oz for under $8 and plus tax in any store. So I got 8-16 times the amount for only $10-15 more the price of a store shelf bottle and it'll last a year or more. You can get gallons of most spray detailers and waxes which generally saves you a lot of money (and you use a lot on a car each time)

Important to note, if you plan on diluting stuff with water, I recommend using distilled water. Especially if you have hard water anyway.

Why Waffle Weave? I use the Chamois from wally world and it seems to work great! I'm looking for a FOAM cannon.

chamois are known to grip and strip wax etc

waffle weave is the wisest decision when it comes to drying

Zymol and the Zymol detailer. Follow the directions and you will see a difference.

Zymol is a good cleaner wax as well! Forgot about them.

As Khyber said above, the chamois is known to pull dirt along the paint (creating scratches) and strip some layers of wax.

Waffle weave I think I'll try that it looks scary though like it will scratch ...

Could someone give me the link to purchase one just to be sure I'm getting the right one

Cause what I use to dry I don't like cause it seems to make it dull

I used the waffle weave from chemical guys. I love it! Works great and doesn't scratch. I used it on my wife's black suv with no issues.
