Best oil for the rear whipple car

About to swap to 3.15 pumpkin looking for the best gear oil and how much was told 3qt. I do have a whipple and will be going to the track. 1/4 mile only

I run Lucas Oil pure synthetic - 75W -90 is factory fill, it also comes in 75w-140. Dont forget to add some Ford Friction modifier XL-3, 4oz.

You don't add friction modifier to Synthetic gear oil. It will only allow the friction discs in the traction-lok to slip more.

My original comment still stands...if you're running a traction-lok diff, don't add it with Synthetic. The traction-lok will work better.

And here's a another trick, when you finally develop the one-wheel peel with your Traction-Lok diff, order some Redline 75-90w NS or 75-140w NS fluid. It has no friction modifiers at all and will allow the T-Lok to start working again for a while before a rebuild is necessary.

Royal purple tech support says max gear 75-90, dont add limited slip additive as their fluid has it already
