Going to be ordering a new Aluminum driveshaft for my auto 16GT shortly and was wondering which driveshaft is the best? After doing some research I definitely do not want a DSS or anything with CV joints. Has anyone had any luck with dynotech? Basically I just want something that isn’t going to vibrate. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

We've had really great results on our 2018 making 1350+ wheel HP with a DSS aluminum driveshaft. Has plenty of street driving, dyno pulls and tons of passes at the strip.

I've got DSS and QA1 in stock if you want to go with a Carbon Fiber setup.

Feel free to DM me or call with any questions!

I would consider the Steeda Driveshaft. I plan to go with that option when I do that upgrade. Reason being is that Drivers have had huge success with the Ford Performance DS on the S197 platform. No vibrations or abnormal sounds. The manufacturer for that DS is Dana Spicer. Spicer makes it for our generation also but Steeda is the only one I see carrying it. If you look at the PNs on Steeda and Spicer, they are the same. Plus all the steeda reviews have been great for that reason.

Just a further prove how terrible DSS is I own their aluminum driveshaft that has a vibration issue. I reached out to them hoping to possibly send it back to have the driveshaft fixed. I was told that because its an older piece they would no longer fix in house but parts could be purchased so I could fix on my own. So i email back trying to buy the parts from the tech who was assisting me and the guy just straight up ghosted me never replied to my email I sent an additional one thinking he might not have received but no. DSS is straight up junk.

Nice I like the design with no CV joints.. You had a blue notch with a blow thru turbo setup on it back in the day right?

i have emails go to spam that are from some of my biggest customers. WHY?? IDK. But i check my spam everyday for that reason. I would try giving them a call. They generally pick up right away.

If not, let me know the parts they said you will need and i can check on it for you.

Yeah, it would have gone significantly faster with todays technology, but i had fun with it. Esterland? Nice hatch! What size procharger is that?

Definitely still went pretty fast from what I remember. Yes had the black notch that had On It on the back window. Thanks, it was a F1R Procharger it made pretty good power considering the motor was a little on the big side for it.
