Hey guys I am considering getting the BBK Shorty Chrome headers for my next mod. My question is how much of a difference will it make in both the volume of my exhaust and the tone?

I currently have a muffler delete done to my car and it sounds amazing except for when I am at full throttle at around 5k rpm it loses its deep rumble and produces a higher pitched, dare I say, "ricey" :frusty: sound.

Will the BBK headers fix this or should I consider getting an axelback that has mufflers to help?

Any axle back or cat back will do more for the exhaust sound than shorty headers. If you do end up getting the headers, get the ceramic finish. Chrome headers discolor quickly and will inevitably rust.

As soon as the bbk shorty went on I noticed a good sound increase and a deeper sound. Lost some of the rasp as well. I have the ceramic ones. Also look up 18in vibrant resonators. I had a ton of rasp with the roush axle backs, did a cat back straight pipe and put those resonators on, what a difference over a normal straight pipe with resonaror delete
