Does the base stereo have an Amp? or is it just powered by the stereo itself?
Also if there is no amp can I still use a DSP?
Thanks

Well the HU almost certainly has an amp of some sort to be able to power itself and the speakers, (not sure if it is integrated or not) but that isn't addressing the problem. You really aren't going to get noticeable audio performance gains from a DSP alone, because the stock base speakers are, for lack of a better term, garbage. If you upgrade the speakers and add an aftermarket amp, pairing those with a DSP will be a huge improvement. In almost all cases, the DSP will also act as a Line Out Converter, allowing you to hook up the amp, which you then connect to the speakers. Then (when tuned properly), the DSP will (in very basic terms) make the speakers work together in conjunction with the dimensions of the car, creating a sound stage that is far superior to stock. Adding a DSP alone may not even have any noticeable impact on the current sound stage, as ford already has the HU designed around sending frequencies to the stock speakers to maximize their performance (at least when you set the "Occupancy" setting to "Driver", when it is on "All" it may just send out flat frequencies, I haven't confirmed that yet).
