I'm installing the Hybrid 3 in my 2016 Mustang. And had a couple questions as the videos aren't quite current. Do I need to use any thread locker on the shoulder bolts on the linkage also there is a rubbery pad in the end of the linkage where it attaches to the transmission shaft, does that stay? There is also jam nut for the shifter knob, possibly? Nor written instructions in the box or on the their web site.

That rubber stays in place. It is there to remove any slop. You can use a little blue Loctite on the threads but don't overdo it. Depending on what knob you use, yes, it is to lock down the knob. Did you order the shifter with a knob?

The UPS man just showed up with my Barton shifter. Have to take the wife to the Dr. today so tomorrow will have to be install day, good luck with your install. CJ pony had a decent install video. I don't plan on removing the exhaust or drive shaft and I have a two-post lift to work under. That will make it much easier of an install. LOL fingers crossed.

Got installed late last night. No lift. Left exhaust and driveshaft in play, I did take the DS carrier bearing loose. I was able to get the linkage bolt done thru the shifter hole for a bit of visual. The bolt on top for bracket is a mofo. Most of the install videos don't the updated version. I was able to reuse my Hurst T-handle. Had the cross member and lower mount removed. Happy to say that the little bit I played last night no 3rd gear lock out. NVH is minimal. I did go with transmission mounted. The thing that is aggravating to me is that Barton use SAE hardware, just mire tools to have to put up. Good luck with your install

Just got home from the wife's Dr. so maybe after we eat, I will go out to the shop and get it done. I have a one-piece alum drive shaft, no hanger. I do plan on removing the transmission mount and lowering the back end of transmission to give me a little more top side room. I hope this cures my problem, it pops out of second gear if I down shift and as the gear loads it pops out. If this doesn't fix it, I will be getting rid of this transmission and getting a Calimer stage three trans. It uses the same transmission body but up grads the internals. The barton will bolt right on, so I didn't waste any money and my alum. drive shaft will bolt on the same as the stock tranny. Thanks for the luck wishes. Congratulations on your install.
