24 Mustang GT 6 speed has 500 kms or 300 miles. every time shifting around 3,000 RPM 1 up to 6 it would let out a back fire. original gas from dealer 60 degrees outside and never has it back fired. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

non-issue. Let her rip. There will be pops in the exhaust when the pipes aren’t warm yet which may be what you’re hearing

My GT with AE and the A10 backfires/burbles when I let my foot off the accelerator and hit the brakes. Not all the time but enough to notice. At first I thought it was a clunk from the rear suspension / brakes I think there is a TSB for that one, but I noticed it does it much more frequently in sport mode so I figured out it's the exhaust letting out tame backfires.

I have a base GT w/AE and the A10 and I too get the backfires/burbles when letting my foot of the gas and hitting the brakes. My car almost seems like it lunges forward at times on occasion when it pops almost like a clunk from the rear brakes/suspension like you mentioned. I've had the car a little over a month and I have about 500 miles on it. It's done this since day one so I guess it's normal but I'll have to see if I can find the TSB you mentioned and see what that says just to be sure.

So It sounds like other's are experiencing this and it's normal I guess? I'll have to pay more attention to see if it does it once it's fully warmed up as another user mentioned the exhaust not being fully warmed up might cause this popping.

This is perfectly normal, I find in Normal Mode it will be most tame, though I love it in Track Mode, A10 downshifting, especially with paddles, pops are the most aggressive. I personally love the aggressive feel and sound, when I want to be quiet and smoother shifts I run Normal Mode with Quiet Exhaust

It's all good, normal and with the A10 it will be more pronounced when letting off the accelerator and braking causing quick downshifts, especially in sport or track mode it will feel more aggressive

Exhaust pops and crackles are not the same as backfire, however fire from the backside technically can be … but shooting fire out the intake may take a tad more than a (full?) carbon filter to quench.
