There's a lot of waiting around to Auto-X. It's about 90% social hour with some car stuff thrown in here or there. What is really nice about it is the complete lack of penalty if you get it wrong. I actually enjoy test days more than competition days. Test days can be 8-12 runs and I'm generally pretty busy because I'm changing this or that between runs. Competition days are usually 3-4 runs and then you have to work the course and help pick up at the end (and you bloody well better help pick up at the end).
It ends up shooting the day all to hell, but I'm easily entertained, so it works out.
