I managed to touch the top of 2nd on my local course. While it's a nice sized lot, nationals are much larger from what I understand. So the PP guys may have to make like the s2k crowd and row a bit more or ride the rev limiter.

It is soft, but really, what car isn't stock? As I said earlier though, I don't feel that it is too soft, the body roll is pretty well under control.

After this year I will probably make a run at ESP and I think this car with coilovers and 315's all around will be a beast.
Arch rival 1LE comes to mind along with a couple specialty cars, but good point. :D

Thanks for the video, some great driving! Getting me excited for my first event in this car in 2 weeks :)

Wanted to ask what you guys though about 3.73 rear end for autox? As it has me a little bit concerned that its to short
The 3.73 is certainly not ideal for auto-x. I would imagine that the 3.15 would be the best choice. Would net you ~70 mph top in 2nd. All is going to depend on the course though. Bigger national course? Probably want the 3.15/3.55.

On that course, there were 3 parts where I was hitting the rev limiter, but only the middle section was I on it for any real amount of time. The difference would have been small had I not been hitting the rev limiter. Also, it is hard to quantify the amount of time made up by having better acceleration with the 3.73's. So what is faster? Who knows, but I bet its real close, no matter the course.

I am pretty confident that all the goodies of the PP outweigh any possible disadvantage of the gearing.

True, the 1LE does appear to be much stiffer as are other specialty additions. Can't have it all though :)

Seems like the base GT's 3.31 or optional 3.55 would be better, but like you said, I'm sure the rest of the PP stuff is completely worth it. Would be great to see 3.55 offered with that package...

By my calculations the 3.55's would get you to ~63 mph and 3.31's would be ~68 mph. Basically the 3.55's aren't going to help too much. So maybe 3.31's? But I still think getting to 70 would be better for a large course.
