Anyone try Trofeo's?

Hello,

Has anyone tried running the 305/30ZR19 Trofeo's on the GT350 or GT350R?

I've, um, got a set and if they work well on the GT350R I may keep them - if my order is real...

Wasn't sure if the 305's of the Trofeo's were wider than the Cup 2's...I know they will fit in the rear b/c the Cup 2 on the R is 315. It's a fair chunk of change for the rubber so I just wanted to be 100% sure it was GFL. A tad surprised no on has used them yet but maybe the Cup 2's are that good.

They are a seriously sticky tire. HOWEVER, use them for track/course only. They wear out more than alarmingly fast. 60 tread rating. If I were buying tires though, for the money, R888's.

Issue is that most haven't worn out the cup2, the trofeo isn't that much better at the track, and the trofeo is seriously expensive.

I'd like to see how an gt350r does on proper race tires. Ford also should sell the normal gt350 rims and tires as an add-on for those who want to save the cf rims for the track.

I wore out a set of the cup 2's
about 4k and 1.5 track days, melted inside of fronts.
wire coming through. I checked alignment after getting new set.
Street setting is camber -1.12 track -1.75
factory on mine were -1.4 &-1.5
So I need camber plates to adjust.
$1400 Canadian for set of fronts

Issue is that most haven't worn out the cup2, the trofeo isn't that much better at the track, and the trofeo is seriously expensive.

I do about 10+/- track days per year and I've never had a set of tires last that whole time so I figured someone with a GT350R has to have worn through the Cup 2's by now.

While the number has slowed, a lot of Z/28 buyers take them off because they are such bad street tires. Lots of great deals (were had) around November when someone takes a new (well, last year) Z/28 out on a sub-freezing day and finds out how much fun R-Compound is in the cold...
