Hi Guys, I'm getting a set of track tires and contemplating running 305/30/19 with 325/30/19 NT01's or 295/30/19 305/30/19 R888R's.

I'd love to hear anyone's experience with 325 rears on track.

What is the comparison of NTs vs PSC2s- price, performance, longevity?

I run 325s on the back. I've run PSS and Cup2s.

Love the 325. Mostly I like the looks. Not sure I could tell the difference otherwise.

I run two sets of wheels and tires at the track on my R, one of which is the nt01's in 325 square on the project6gr wheels. Grip and lap times is about on par with the stock cup2's which really are amazing tires. Confidence and overall feel is definitely better on the cup2's. But for what I paid for the nitto's (about half the price of a set of cup2's) it's a no brainer for as much as I track my car.

Would love to see a picture of your 325 square NT setup. How have the P6 wheels held up at track and how do the calipers look- much scratching on them from clearance?

Yes, they will definitely scratch the top of the calipers with track use. Other than that I love them. Check out my Instagram for more pics. @Serpent_Stangs

I believe Steeda's #20 race car uses 315 or 325 NT01s (as mostly a rain or endure tire) in a square format... perhaps contacting SteedaTech could yield some thoughts, if interested.

Are there any specific reasons NOT to run a 325 square setup? Curious because if you were to buy Michelins for example, you only get half of the 30,000 mile warranty if your rears are different from your fronts... running a 325 front and back and I guess they assume they are all being cross rotated, they honour the full 30,000 mile warranty and pro-rate the next set if you wear them out before then :D

My concerns would lie with steering feel/precision and of course it would actually raise the front end of the vehicle about 1/4". How significant these changes are though I have no idea, hoping someone can chime in?

I think some of this is going to depend on the compound too. R888's/NT01's aren't known for their feel, that's for sure but do grip like crazy. My RE71R's are actually surprisingly numb compared to my Super Sports. I think that's because a 305 just may be stretching the limits of what that tire can do with that compound. However, they are faster on course than my Super Sports. Haven't been on Track with 71R's though although I have no plans to.

Yeah the tire itself definitely affects the feel, regardless of width some are better than others in that regard. I am considering Super Sports in a 325 square simply because they are priced well. If not those, then it would be the PS4S. I don't have a track here at all, so I'm only looking for street tires, and if I could do a square setup with no adverse affects but get the full 30,000 mile warranty on the rears that would be an added bonus!

Are you running a 325 square setup??
