Im doing that right now, and I want to get a down pipe next and go super loud. But I know everyone recommends an intercooler early on, but I dont really do too many hard pulls often. I want to also do meth injection, but I might wait on that still.

My car is stock aside from the Cobb tune. Probably going to order an intercooler core soon though.

if you're modding, an intercooler should be like your first mod pretty much.

Yeah I'm tuned with Tune +. Temps suck and I've been playing in sub 50 degree weather. I can't imagine it being summer running it. It'll rise like 35 degrees in just one 3rd gear pull.

Agreed. I knew I was going ATM so I'm just waiting it out. Hopefully I'll have it in the next week or two they should almost be ready to ship.

Meth will cool charge temps and give you more gains than an intercooler because of both the cooling properties and higher octane. However it should most definitely be paired with an aftermarket intercooler as well.

I am... and don't believe I'm following the crowd on this one. My car was just fine over the summer, as it is now.

If you listen to some people, you would think the car will stop making power and limp along at 50 mph or something. Not been my experience, even in 95 degree heat running for 7 hours... hard runs with some modified GTs toward the last hour or so of that drive. Then ran some 0-60s. lol

My car was amazing... it was fun. Top down crazy fun.

All I had then was a drop in filter and a tune from Unleashed/ Torrie.

I could change my mind... but right now, I see no reason to upgrade.

It will feel fine but you'll notice the difference after you upgrade. If you heatsoak the miniature stock IC on an 80 degree day it's inevitable that you will lose power

How much power will I lose by the scenario I provided above your post?

In 90 degree heat after running for 7hrs I doubt it would be capable of a sub 6sec 0-60. I'm not sure on how much though power though. I think mishimoto did dyno graphs on their before and after

I'm still running my stock IC just because temps are in the 40s to 50s over here. Charge temps have been in the 50s to 60s for the most part.
I have a FMIC (ordered it before I even owned the EB), but haven't installed it yet. Soon though. More timing never hurt anyone :D
