Like the title says, trying to find out the stock ID of the exhaust manifold — I’m thinking it’s 2.25” from what I’ve read in an article from Mishimoto when they were designing their exhaust system.
According to LMR and Mishimoto, it goes from 2.25” from the exhaust manifold up to the restorator, then goes to a 2.5”, and then steps down to a 2.25” back to a 2.5” again near the muffler.
I ordered the BBK “tunes” shorty headers (doing exhaust fabcriation and need to stay close to the front as possible), but can’t find any information for the ID of their collector. It’ll bolt up to the OEM cats, but I’ll be deleting them. So I’m assuming the ID of the collector 2.25” ID right? I tried looking up X and H pipe videos and sales to see if there was any sizing information. But nothing.
I also already ordered the 2.25” exhaust tubing kit (not to mention v-clamps, flex pipe, and a custom shorty “resonator/muffler” from Spintech with 2.25” ID) and now I’m doubting the size, so let’s hope it’s 2.25”
If anything I guess I can setup up to a 2.5” for the collector.
