Anyone have this problem getting new tires?

So I am trying to get some tires installed on my MRR FS01's. The 285/30/19's need to come off and the new 285/35/19's need to go on. I drop them off at a Ford dealer. An hour later they are calling me saying they can't put the new tires on. Then I go to another place (Sullivan Tire) and they will put them on but can't guarantee they won't scratch the wheels. Is this normal?:frusty:

No it's not normal.

I have almost same size tires as you, except they're a 35 profile. Tire kingdom did the install for me, no problems, so if you have one around I'd check them out.

More than likely it's they don't have a machine to work on that low profile of a tire.

Find a speed shop. You'll pay more but it'll be worth it in the long run.

Todd its not normal for a shop to state that at all. A skilled shop would not have a issue switching out tires regardless of the profile of the tire.

Well finally got the tires on and the wheels were not scratched! This must be a local problem or maybe just my bad luck :frusty: After posting i remembered town fair tire was giving me problems when i called them a while ago too.

They do look really good! Now that I have them on I need to adjust the coilovers for the perfect stance, then it needs an alignment since I did a ton of suspension work (check out the signature). I'll be posting some pics in a few weeks after everything is done and she's all cleaned up.
