Would you have a CEL with catted headers too?
Yes, there is certainly a chance that even with a catted setup you'd have a CEL illuminate. There is no harm, just the annoying light, when you do exhaust. The only way to guaranty no CEL is by doing a tune. Some people have got away with the anti-foulers for the O2's, but that's not always going to work on all cars.

But to answer your question, OP, no harm with an illuminated CEL from adding exhaust and not doing a tune.

The kooks green catted run the least chance of not setting a light, but there is still a chance,

a custom tune would obviously benefit you, if your going to the trouble of swapping headers, the extra $$ for a tune would be well worth it,

let me know if we can help you out with a lund custom tune with an x4 or ngauge

Thanks, one last question. If I have my tune set up for longtubes can I run stock headers on that tune temporarily until I install the longtubes?

Have you tried 45 degree spacers? That's what I have always used
Nope, but I'll look into it when the 670 tune goes on, thanks for the info.
