If you've been following our build you'll know that my main goal was to make an 8 second pass. I've been on the hunt for a bit going to several track outings running low 9's and even a 9.02@153.
Last Thursday I headed up to PBIR for a private rental to take another shot at it. The weather was really nice with crisp air, little to no humidity and with my eyes on the prize. My first attempt at launching the car did the DCT clutch overtemp just after the launch so I quickly backed it up and lined up to the beams to give it another shot. The car launched like a bat out of hell and as I made my way down the track I saw my 60ft of 1.36 show up on the board. That was my best 60ft ever and all I needed to do from there was make sure I made my shifts. Each shift was perfect and the car felt really good down to the end.
