Another noisy motor or tranny thread.

Hi, my mustang GT is an 18 with the 10 speed. I only have 5200 miles on it. I have been reading a lot of threads on ticking, etc. My noise is only under acceleration from 1500 rpms. There is not any noise on deceleration. To me it sounds like Loud lifter noise. I know it has Direct and port fuel injection, but wouldn’t it be noticeable on deceleration too? There also is not any noise when I rev it up at idle.
I know, I know take it to the dealer and have them tell me that’s it’s normal.

Sounds like the DI. I'd guess there shouldn't be any noise under deceleration, as the injectors aren't working.

What noise is your tranny making?

After thinking about it, it does not make the noise in every mode. Just last night I put it in drag strip mode and there was no noise.
