Watch this or fast forward to about the 5 minute mark. The guy in the white GT500 is an idiot. I can't believe it. Why is it when idiots do this they can't seem to hit the brakes? Not only did he fly over the curb and hit those people, he also about ran over that woman.

Way too much power and too slow counter steering.
You can't suddenly become good at drifting.

The crowd there pressures the cars to do so. I have no problem with it, as long you know what you're doing. Clearly some don't!

appears he fled the scene of an accident, with strong potential for injuries. What was idiocy is now criminal :headbonk:

Never Flee the Scene of a Car Accident -- Here's Why
A look at your legal obligations after an accident, and the penalties you may face if you flee the scene.
There were two breaks in the video and he clearly had gotten out, as the plastic behind his front wheel disappeared (or someone else had moved it). I was not there, but it did not look like he fled the scene, more that he had checked the situation out and everyone was OK (did not look like anyone was injured, just shaken up) and then left as his car was the only thing damaged.

Again, I do not know for sure, but that is how it appeared to me.

I will never understand why, at car shows, the edges of roads are totally blocked off. Sure a driver has the responsibility to not show off to a crowd, but the driver wants to when there is a crowd. It is not even remotely safe for hundreds of people to be crowding the side of an open road. The police do not focus on the right things at this events and the event coordinators should be totally blocking off the grass areas and the police should be enforcing it, not pulling people over for chirping their tires. Just my opinion...

this was back in 2015. it was posted before. the driver did not leave the scene, according to others who posted being in attendance and/or witnessed it. the car was moved to the dealership and parked to get it off the street because of all the mustang hate it was drawing. it's just how the video was cut that made it appear that way.
