Both are variations of what is known as a Kamm effect tail. Many high performance cars, as well as true racing cars use similar designs. Sadly, so does the Toyota Prius, which looks even more like the S550s.

You can't be serious about the Prius reference can you? I definitely see more of the 365 GTB.

But to me i see most of the design coming from older mustangs, just a modern take on it.

Oh trust me, I see Classic Mustang DNA All Over the 2015. I wasn't saying the designers even thought about the Ferrari 365 GTB during the Design Process, I just noticed the similarities that I pointed out. The 365 GTB is Such a Classic Beauty and an Icon that I'm sure any Car Designer knows it well enough that it might have had some influence Subliminally. But I know the Ford Designers were drawing Inspiration from the 60's Mustangs. Specificaly the 67-68 but there are little details from all of the Classic Mustangs.

When people who know me asked why I got rid of my 2013 Shelby I simply answer..... the S550 Mustang.
