Question for anyone familiar with the airlift performance system for the s550. I am looking into purchasing one of these kits used (new in box/never installed) for an obvious discount over new.
Looking at their site it appears that in the event that there would happen to be something wrong out of the box with any of the components, I would have no recourse for repair/replacement, as the warranty only extends to the original purchaser. In addition, I would not get the lifetime warranty on the 3P management system.
Looking at the installation manuals, the rear kit is broken down into multiple components so I figure the risk of out of pocket cost for a bad component would be minimized somewhat. However, the front kit diagram shows the entire strut assembled and has one part number.
I guess my questions are, in the unfortunate event that I take a chance on the kit and something was wrong with the front strut(s), are the rebuildable/ component replacable or would I eat the cost of having to replace the entire strut?Same question for the 3P management system. Is the controller servicable?
Trying to figure out the risk to reward ratio on taking a chance on a Used NIB system.
BTW, jayman33 I know we've chatted and I'll be placing an order with you if I decide not to go this route. I appreciate your time for answering my questions!
Any info or opinions on the matter are appreciated....
